RecoverQ is a business operated by Mohammed Bilal Asif. Any agreement on this page is between you and that business. You can reach us at hello@recoverq.com.

1. What RecoverQ is — and is not

RecoverQ is a directory. It shows you independent vehicle recovery and transport operators who are live near you, and lets you contact them directly. That is the whole service.

RecoverQ is not a recovery operator, a breakdown service, a transport company or an insurer. We do not attend breakdowns, move vehicles, employ drivers, set the price of any job or promise a response. Every operator on the map is an independent business acting for itself — not our employee, agent, partner or subcontractor.

When you contact an operator and agree a job, the contract for that job is between you and that operator. RecoverQ is not a party to it.

2. Using the map as a customer

You do not need an account and we do not ask you for one. By using the map or app you agree to these terms. You must be 18 or over.

• You may use RecoverQ only to find genuine recovery or vehicle transport, and you must give an operator accurate information about where you are and what needs moving.
• You call the operator yourself, from your own phone. RecoverQ never gives your phone number to an operator.
• Your location is not shared with anyone until you choose to give an operator your six-digit code. Giving the code is your instruction to share your exact location with that operator, for that job only.
• The price, the method of payment and the timing are agreed between you and the operator before they set off. RecoverQ does not currently charge you anything to use the map. If we ever introduce a charge for customers, it will be shown clearly before you use the paid part of the service, and you will always be free not to use it.
• If you no longer need the operator, cancel in the app as soon as you can so they are free for someone else.

3. What the map shows, and what it does not promise

The map shows operators who have told us they are live, at the position their phone reports, rounded for privacy. It is provided "as is". We do not promise that any operator is available, will answer, will accept your job, will arrive, will arrive by any particular time, or will do the work to any standard. Distances and arrival times are estimates only. The map may be unavailable at any time without notice.

In an emergency on a motorway, or if anyone is in danger, call 999 first.

4. Our checks

Before an operator can go live we check their driving licence, photo identity, insurance certificate and photographs of each vehicle, and we re-check when details change. These are checks of documents at a point in time, made in good faith. They are not a guarantee, warranty or endorsement of any operator's skill, conduct, equipment, continued insurance or fitness for your job, and you should satisfy yourself before agreeing a job, as you would with any trader.

5. Misuse

You must not request a job you do not intend to go ahead with, give false details, abuse or threaten an operator, use the map to harass or locate anyone, copy or scrape the map or operator data, use RecoverQ to build or feed a competing service, or interfere with how the app works. We may block a device, number or area that does so, without notice and without liability.

6. Reviews, reports and complaints

Only a customer who completed a job through the app can leave a rating. Every rating is checked by a person before it counts and we may decline any we cannot verify. The public sees only the average rating and the number of reviews.

If something goes wrong with an operator, tell us at hello@recoverq.com. We will look into it and may suspend or remove the operator's listing while we do, at our discretion, without liability to anyone. RecoverQ is not a dispute-resolution service: any claim about price, work or damage is between you and the operator, although we want to know about it and will act on what we learn.

7. Being listed as an operator

By applying to be listed you agree to these terms as an operator, in addition to the customer terms.

• You are listed under a monthly subscription at the price shown when you apply. We may change the subscription price, or introduce other charges such as a fee or a commission on jobs booked through RecoverQ, by giving you at least 30 days’ notice by email. The new pricing applies from your next renewal after that notice, and if you would rather not continue you can cancel before then and you will not be charged the new amount. You may cancel at any time; the listing stays live until the end of the paid period. Subscriptions are not refunded.
• Everything you give us to be verified must be true and current, and you must tell us within seven days if anything changes — insurance, vehicles, licence or business details.
• You are an independent business. You must hold, and keep in force, the insurance and any Operator's Licence the law requires for the work you take on; carry out every job safely, lawfully and with reasonable skill; and comply with all road, vehicle, health and safety and consumer law that applies to you. You are solely responsible for the work you do, the vehicles you move, the prices you charge and the people you employ.
• You are responsible for everything done on your account. One account is used on one phone at a time. You must not share your login, appear on the map when you are not actually available, or ask a customer for anything other than the price you agreed.
• Indemnity. You will compensate RecoverQ for any claim, loss, damage, cost or expense (including legal costs) that arises from your work, your vehicles, your conduct, your breach of these terms or your breach of the law.
• We may suspend or remove your listing at any time, with or without reason, without refund and without liability to you.

8. Vehicle transport

The transport tab shows journeys operators are already making. It is not an emergency service. We store no customer account or data for it. Contact, price and agreement are directly between you and the operator, and sections 1 to 6 apply equally.

9. Our brand and content

The RecoverQ name, logo, website, app, map and the data behind them belong to us. You may use them only to find or provide recovery or transport through RecoverQ. You may not copy, reproduce, scrape or redistribute any of it.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Subject to that:

• Because RecoverQ is a directory and is not the provider of any recovery or transport service, we are not responsible for, and accept no liability for, the acts, omissions, negligence, delay, non-attendance, workmanship, pricing, conduct or insurance of any operator or customer, or for any damage to, loss of or theft from any vehicle or its contents.
• We are not liable for any loss arising from the map being unavailable, inaccurate or delayed, from an operator being unavailable or not answering, or from your reliance on any information shown in the app or on this website.
• We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, business, revenue, use or data, however arising.
• To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to any customer arising out of or in connection with RecoverQ is limited to £100, and our total liability to any operator is limited to the total amounts that operator paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything in this section.

11. General

We may change these terms; the date at the top changes and operators are told by email. If RecoverQ ever joins with another company or the business changes hands, these terms and your listing carry on exactly as they are and nothing about your subscription changes. As it is monthly you can cancel whenever you like, so nothing here ties you in. You may not pass your listing or your rights to someone else without our written agreement. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. When the RecoverQ app is offered through the Apple App Store or Google Play, Apple and Google are not responsible for the service and have no obligation to you in respect of it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction. Contact: hello@recoverq.com.
