How it works

Three taps to a driver.

Built for the moment you are stood at the roadside, so nothing gets in the way.

1

See who is near you

Allow location or type a postcode. The map shows every driver live nearby and how many miles away each one is.

2

Call the driver

Tap Call and speak to them directly. Agree the price between you before they set off.

3

Watch them arrive

Give the driver your six-digit code and follow them on the map, with a live arrival time, until they reach you.

Why people trust it

A live map only works if it is true.

So we check every driver, and the map only ever shows drivers who are actually out.

Checked before they go live

Driving licence, photo ID, insurance certificate and photographs of every truck, reviewed by our team. Nobody appears on the map until they pass.

Real positions, right now

Drivers share their position while they work. If a truck is on the map, it is out and reachable — not a listing last updated years ago.

Reviews that are checked

Only customers who completed a job can leave a rating, and each one is looked at before it counts.

The price is yours to agree

We are not in the middle of the payment. No commission, no booking fee, no membership — which is also why it stays cheaper than cover.

Recovery in Oxford: where it usually goes wrong

Oxford's ring road is the spine of every recovery here. The city inside it is bus-gated, bollarded and hard for a large vehicle, while the A34 outside it is a fast, busy trunk route that carries freight between the Midlands and the south coast. The two could hardly be more different.

The A34

Fast dual carriageway with short slip roads and heavy lorry traffic. A breakdown here needs you well off the carriageway.

The Oxford ring road

The A40, A4142 and A423 loop, with roundabout junctions and constant traffic.

Junctions 8 and 9 of the M40

The motorway access, and where drivers from further away will come in.

The centre, Headington and Cowley

Restricted access, park and ride traffic and narrow residential streets.

Worth knowing. The A34 has very short slips. If you are losing power, take the next one rather than aiming for the right one.
Questions

Before you call.

It depends on who is out. The map shows every driver live in Oxford right now and the app shows how many miles away each one is, so you can see before you call rather than being given a time by a call centre.

You agree the price with the driver on the phone before they set off. RecoverQ adds nothing to it — no booking fee, no commission and no membership.

Every driver is checked before they can go live: driving licence, photo ID, insurance certificate and photographs of each truck, all reviewed by our team.

No. Open the map, see who is live, and call. If the driver takes the job you get a six-digit code and can watch them on their way.
